Organic pasta and breads! Quality ingredients and quality service. The guy at the front was so nice! I was so sad they didn’t have carbonara and he gave me a slice of pizza he made my day. I will be back to get my carbonara soon

Who doesn't like homemade pasta with some fine dining pedigree? Al Dente is a solid option in the neighborhood for casual dine in and to-go. The staff is incredibly nice, helpful, and gracious. Meat and veg pizzas are presented up front and are served with a quick heat up. The middle is fluffy, the crust is light and crispy perfect for dipping in any leftover pasta sauce. The time and effort is apparent in the pasta dishes I've tried. Classic Bolognese has nice deep flavors, stewed lamb is tender though I'd personally like it to be a little less runny, crispy gnocchi has great potato flavor but I think the crispy gets a little bit lost with all the oil and my last serving was a little too salty. They take orders online and by phone, street parking is a bit limited especially during rush hours and the weekends.

I've waited too long before trying out Al Dente. The food is simply amazing! The pastas are the right texture that compliments any flavor you decide to order. We ordered the tagliatelle the butcher and pappardelle lamb plus their porchetta pizza. I came back the next day and grabbed more pizza slices to go for the kids and a loaf of their amazing rosemary and olive bread. The bread is so fresh with chunks of olives, I had to stop myself from finishing it in one go. We'll definitely be regulars!

What we ordered: - Pappardelle Lamb $16.85 This was soooo savory and if you love lamb this is the perfect pasta for you! This was my first time having lamb meat in pasta and so I just had to try it. It’s slow braised lamb neck with toasted pistachio and percorino romano. Honestly the portions looked small to me when I first got it but I actually only ate half and was so full. Love the taste of all the herbs in the lamb. The lamb was so tender and loved the fatty parts of it. I’d give it a 5/5. - Bucatini Carbonara $16.95 My fiancé ordered this one, he seemed to enjoy it and was able to finish the whole bowl. It’s made with egg yolk, guanciale and pecorino romano. - Wagyu meatballs $12 This came with 4 meatballs, I thought it was ok. I was craving meatballs at the time and it helped satisfy the craving. I’d give it a 3/5. I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in the area! I’d love to try their other pasta and pizzas.

The pasta is great, such high quality and intentional menu items. I got the Fusilli Genovese and the pesto was incredibly fresh and tasted amazing. It’s an A, and with the price/value it becomes an A+. The service was great and the woman who helped me was so sweet. I was NOT asked to post a review, but I just really hope this place does well and gets credit where it’s due! Try it out, you won’t regret. I’m looking forward to trying their other items

We decided to do an Italian staycation, where we go to all places Italy while staying in LA. One of our absolute highlights from this was Al Dente! We each ordered a different pasta and pizza and then sat at one of the tables inside. We then started to taste test a little of each and the WOW factor struck instantly. We had a couple dessert things, I don’t remember what they’re called, but they were fantastic. It was all so good that we couldn’t decide what we liked best. When we were done, we decided to order a few other dishes to go, plus some olive and rosemary bread, that the owner had recommended. On our way out we noticed they sell fresh made pasta to make at home, so note to self, need to do that too! Simply put, the food here is amazing. If you haven’t been, this is the perfect way to get a super tasty bit of Italy here in LA!

I ordered a pasta for dine in. It was absolutely delicious. The cavatelli was cooked perfectly. The sauce and protein in the pasta was hearty without being heavy. I also ordered two slices of Sicilian style pizza to go. I only ate it the day after and it was still fresh. I just finished the other slice today - whole three days after purchasing it and after a few minutes in the oven it tastes fresh. The dough itself is so light and fluffy. The ingredients they use are clearly high-quality. For dessert, I had a sfogliatella. One of the better ones I’ve had in my life. The counter service was excellent. The cashier/serve was very kind, very attentive and prompt.
